Usain Bolt win historic Olympic 100m gold in Rio

Jamaican Usain Bolt has once again proved that he is still the sprint king at the Olympic Games.

Despite a bad start, the sprinter left his rivals behind, accelerating in the last 30 meters.

Usain Bolt surged past Justin Gatlin to win a third historic Olympic 100m gold in Rio

Behind Bolt trailed Gatlin, his great rival, who took silver again in 9.89. The best of the next generation, the Canadian Andre De Grasse, claimed bronze in 9.91.

The win lifts Bolt above Carl Lewis – who won 100m gold in Los Angeles and Seoul , he now has seven gold medals to his name.

This was Bolt’s slowest championship winning time, but sufficient to make him enter the history books of the Olympic Games.
